Any Panchkarma therapy consists of two crucial processes, i.e. Snehan or oleation therapy, and Swedan or fomentation therapy.
A panchkarma treatment that gives holistic and systematic approach to deep-cleanse the body by flushing out toxins at the cellular level. To prepare an individual for the treatment, a preparatory procedure is performed called the Poorva Karma. It allows the individual to receive maximum benefits.
Snehapanam therapy can either be of vegetable oils, such as Mahua, mustard, sesame, Bahera, Erand, Karanj, or of animal origin, such as milk, ghee. It depends on clients condition and weather.
Fasting is Recommended during this treatment, however light kanji (porridge) can be taken if you have an appetite.
The Sneha Panam consuming quantity would depend as per the capacity of the digestive system. The quantity will be increase. It’s on daily basis up to 300ml. & this treatment is done for 7 to 14 days.
